Do I need a deadbolt as well as my door lock?
A good deadbolt adds a strong second lock that is much harder to force than a standard latch, so we recommend one on external doors.
Which windows should have locks?
Ground-floor windows and any window reachable from a balcony, roof or fence should have locks.
